windows 7. [is cool.]

as a computer student in canada, microsoft has decided i can use windows 7, free of charge. as long as i'm a student. ->awesome.

as far as my opinion of windows 7 goes, all i can really say is:

"good job, microsoft. good job."

it's like xp(sp2) all over again.

it's. why it's vista. only good.

really good.

i own a macbook, i own a copy of leopard, and i feel i could justify the cost of snow leopard.

and yet, os x hasn't seen my hd since the day i learned i could have windows 7.[free and legit! :D]

as i've seen in many places already on the internet,

windows 7 is /better/ than os x.x.x

so i just want to say.

to everyone who just bought a mac, because "who needs all the headaches of windows"

as an experienced macintosh user.

you're fucking missing out.

6.30 in the morning

is when i woke up today.
i drove holly to work, then i came back home.
i made a tea, and some toast.
then i came upstairs to do homework.
first though, i should check webcomics (of course).
xkcd.com was the first that i checked. it was hilarious. i decided to check the "blag", which i rarely do.
it was short. but it mentioned something called Omegle.

it is a service which connects you to a random stranger to have an instant messaging conversation.
the entire thing is anonymous.

you can use the site to do it all, or add omeglebot to aim and type $connect

as a warning, most of the people on their are pretty immature, and annoying as hell.
but the odd time, you can find a very interesting person.

as i just ended a conversation that lasted an hour.
as the end of it i felt i had to ask the details of the person i was talking to.

she was a 28 year old german woman.





i love the internet.

i do find myself to be ever so lazy with posting.

but with all good reason, there isn't much interesting to say.

Introduction:
I went to my mothers this weekend.
I moved out of there last weekend.
And took everything.
Including the wireless internet.
I very recently read Crank .
And just purchased the sequal, Glass. (which does not have it's own wiki page, yet)
So don't mind the format.
I was bored.
It's long.
And will be updated in intervals.

i suppose i'm not very good at blogging.

as it would seem.
i haven't been doing much, or reading much, or seeing much.
i watched the day the earth stood still (the new one), it was pretty good. Lil' Will was funny at times. We made Obama Jokes, we're teens, teens love obama, what did you expect?
I live with my girlfriend now.
I've been playing a lot of Final Fantasy 3.
And reading a lot of Horus Heresy.
I think i'm going to change the name of this blog.
have fun finding it.

windows 7

i know i'm late on this, but i'm really alright with that. after about 14 failed attempts with firefox, safari, and opera on my macbook, i finally got the download on ie on my mothers winbox. and soon i was on my way to installing the windows 7 public beta. the first time, there were some issues with windows exporer, but a second install down the road and everything is great. there really isn't much to say about it that hasn't already been said, it just seems to be a more stabler, efficient version of vista. so microsoft released vista too early (probably to try and fight that huge [and still going] mac push that seems to be happening recently), fixed it, and should have made it an sp2. i plan to keep it installed until my beta runs out, and use it while i'm at school, but windows still hasn't shown me anything worthy of switching, and now that i have a 360, there is really nothing i need windows for. It seems like a great new version of windows. if your a windows user you'll get it when you need a new computer (i would advise waiting till it comes out [this july i believe it's set?] to buy one if it's not necessary). and if you bought vista, my regards.

also, when the beta first came out, it was going to be limited to only the first 32 million downloaders. the demand was there, and the servers crashed. by the time it was back up, it was a full public beta, available until jan 24th (this saturday, so hurry up if you've missed out). i think they planned this the whole time. they said it would be VERY limited just to see the demand there would be for people eager to try the new windows.


there is just something about os x, that makes me feel at home.
