merry christmas.

i've been busy.

i had another christmas day on the 26th.

it felt really nice packing this up:

which of course i had to do because:

and a thank you very much for my mother, sister, and sister's boyfriend.

i also got money, and:

the halo 3 special legendary edition.

for only $20 more than just halo 3!

some have said i wasted my money, but i think it looks damn cool.

and totally worth $20

then i went to my sisters house for the night, and got to play halo on this:

post 2

i just came back from belleville with my family dinner. merry christmas. i received clothes and money. and a nanimo bar.
my girlfriend got a nice new phone but so did her whole family, and her sister, which is her sisters first cell phone, so she can't know about the other ones for a while as to not "steal her thunder" ?

MERRY CHRISTMAS

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

i'm sitting at my girlfriends house, having just woken up here.

so far i've received a lovely sci-fi decorative clock, and a hardcover, original british, illustrated edition of Eats, Shoots and Leaves.

thanks holly bear.

oh, and also a Love Is, peanuts calendar for 2009 (which was very needed) and a marylin monroe poster.
as well as a stocking full of love, and play dough.

MERRY CHRISTMAS.

i imagine i will update later today, i'm heading to my grandmothers for christmas lunch/dinner soon.
and having christmas with my mother on saturday.

the fire channel hand.

i watched step brothers last night.
good job will ferrell(?)
it was far funnier than i had expected. and i expected it to be pretty darn funny.

i'm curious how to explain to someone that ms word is part of ms office, when saying ms word is part of ms office does not suffice.

it's christmas eve.

CHRISTMAS EVE!

i will be waking up christmas morning in my girlfriends bed.

nice.

a little girl here has seen the fire channel tape restart.
turns out it's not a live feed with guys taking shifts keeping a perfect fire.
despite some beliefs.

and all i needed was a router.

silly me, i was wondering why this router sucked so hard.
turns out it was only a ethernet hub!
silly me.

constant connection.
shared connection.
wireless.

nice.

it's nice.

today i got my christmas shopping done.
today i also got highspeed internet.

first i will say:
not what i expected.

turns out, for my particular aol service, i have to connect to the internet via a connection app everytime i wish to use it. which ordinarily would be no big deal at all. once when you boot your computer and your fine.

the issue arises in that i also can only use one 'screen name' at a time, which means that both me and my mother cannot use the internet simultaneously. blasphemy. i still intend to spend many more hours on the phone with aol trying to get something figured out.
but for now,

i have highspeed. <- :)

i knew deep inside of me how truly and uniquely wonderful access to the internet was. and today i get to feel that joy again.
one moment.
sorry, i had to go find a brand new song i have never heard before to put on as some background music.
ah.

anyway i could sit here and blather on about how much i missed those nights sat infront of a google search page with ambiguous techno in the background and anything i could ever possibly want to know, available at my fingertips. but i do infact have homework to do. and it's about time i head on over to see google.
how i've missed you.

i love that holly anne.
that one i stay up to on adium.
how i've missed her.

politically corrent.

in what i can assume is an attempt not to offend anyone. the family channel seems to have decided that "santa" should instead be called "a north pole toy distributor"

if you thought computer hackers were cool...

how about LOGGING HACKERS?!
not like, logging in... like... logging companies.
hackers have helped several brazilian logging companies defy their government and ship far too much timber then they were allowed to. logging companies are only allowed to cut down so many trees every year, and this is all tracked through transport permits (so much timber per transport permit) and when they cut down so many trees, no more transport permits are allowed to be issued. well, they found a way around that. but they were of course caught, which is why it's news.
odd news.

quit blogging and do your work.

the LHC
i know it's gone out of our minds for the moment, but keep in mind that it has been shut down for "adjustments" (repairs). if you remember, this was the thing that was [maybe] going to tear a whole in the universe and destroy the earth. now this had quite a lot of people all worked up about this, despite that fact that it's not going to happen.

this is an old comic. referencing an old yesterday.

three blog posts in one english class proves why computers aren't mandatory in classrooms.

aol: round 2

i know i've said this so many times and it hasn't come true. (actually it did for a little while in the summer) i should be getting highspeed back here shortly. AOL highspeed. now, i know aol is... um... well.. it's aol. but apparently the highspeed is nothing short of good ole highspeed internet. good ole, NOT CAPPED highspeed internet.

w00t.

now all i need is a 360 and mac pro.
and i'm set.

they are called carbon taxes.
the current problem with carbon taxes is that, at the current state of the economy, people simply can't afford higher fossil fuel prices.

hey! good thing they covered (and solved) that!
read it.

no i did not mean that... or did i?

I found myself no longer having finder open when it is not needed. the overall speed of my computer has increased. i rarely use the dock either but for the short time i do, i thought it would be nice to not have finder on the dock unless it was open.

lol, google. lol.

i was mostly unsuccessful, apparently the finder icon is for some reason hardcoded into the dock.app, so, the effort really isn't worth it at the moment.
